About the Position

Overview :

Delivers the Compass Group HR Strategy by providing comprehensive HR support to the business and ensuring HR delivery is fully aligned to the business objectives in the Region.
Education and experience required:

  • BA/B.Comm degree (Industrial or Organisational Psychology)
  • A relevant postgraduate qualification a distinct advantage
  • At least 5 Years' experience within an HR Generalist role
  • Proven track record as an HR Generalist/Organisational Development specialist

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Organisational Development & Design: Collaborates with business to create a high-performance culture by implementing team and organisation design solutions with measurable performance indicators and improvements plans
  • Workforce Planning & Labour: Complete Specific MAP 4 (Management & Performance Reporting) in unit labour reviews, plans and strategies for identified contracts and units
  • Advice: Brings HR insights to bear on all people related issues (people, capabilities, organisation, leadership, culture)
  • Recruitment: Collaborate with the business for the acquisition of suitable talent ensuring that regional contract mobilisations are executed within specified timeframes and candidates are closely matched with the client, culture and specified requirements.
  • Talent Management: Utilises talent development process and tools to develop a diverse talent pipeline that meets the short and long-term goals of the business. Ownership of succession planning for key employees within the region and ensuring this is shared across all sectors
  • Remuneration: Annual salary increases, coordination of the incentive process and bonus allocation process. Advise line on salary benchmarking and salary equity within teams.
  • Employment Equity: Planning, reporting, implementing and monitoring of EE action plans.
  • High Performance Culture: Drive the annual learning and development planning needs within the region. Facilitate and support team effectiveness interventions. Co-ordinate annual / biannual performance appraisal process.
  • Retention: Includes Wellness programme implementation, career counselling, onboarding and exit interviews.
  • Organisational Culture: Promoting sports and recreation activities, cultural events to build the organisational culture of the business. Your Voice Survey: facilitate results, feedback and action plans
  • Other: Support the mobilisation and initial People MAP (Management and Performance Reporting) plans for all new mobilisations within the region
  • Support sales presentations and contract negotiations for new business
  • Undertake project work to support the development of HR practices and processes as part of delivery
