Purpose of Job

Define and coordinate the Brewery team to manage the changes introduced by new equipment installation and to setup an organization fully capable to operate and maintain the new equipment as of Operational & Maintenance Hand over from the supplier for, a more cost efficient and fast (flawless) start-up of the new equipment followed by sustainable results


Key Result Areas


  • Implement Heineken safety standards. Ensure a safe and sustainable production environment.

  • Define the Operational Set up team composition.  Cover OSU team knowledge and experience gaps. Assign roles and responsibilities. Define and manage an Operational Set up budget

  • Ensure plans are ready on time and in line with Heineken GP&E OSU roadmap requirement. Organize periodic meeting review to follow up on plan progress. Clarify and communicate risks and propose mitigations actions.

  • Define and ensure execution of a training plan on the new machines operation and maintenance in cooperation with suppliers and GP&E training consultant.

  • Implement Heineken quality standards to validate the new process/equipment. Incorporate improvements to standards related to quality in close cooperation with the shift leaders.

  • Effectively organizes own team of people (line or area). Supports and manages a team of people during the start-up phase.

  • Supports the recruitment process if needed.

  • Collects and processes all needed data in order to create relevant information/reports.

  • Collects the data about the supplier quality that will be used for further decision-making. Cooperates closely with suppliers on problem solving activities during the first year of operations.

Educational Qualification

  • An appropriate/relevant Engineering degree

Professional Experience

  • 5 years beverage technological experience and managing of people

  • A minimum of 2 years team leadership/ supervisory experience is a pre-requisite.

  • Be technically strong

  • Previous experience in TPM methodology/Lean/S6 Sigma
