Our Client, a Private Hospital Group has vacancy for a Qualified Theatre Manager at their facility in Rustenberg, North West Province.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and co-ordinating the theatre complex in line with clinical protocols and Company and Hospital strategic objectives.
Critical Outputs
- Conduct effective stock management by -
- Reviewing and maintaining the relevant inventory control reports and stock levels.
- Ensuring effective product management by -
- Managing the implementations of formulary changes,accelerated product conversations and RSRT improvement initiatives.
- Communicate to theatre staff and doctors to comply with formulary products.
- Limit supplier access into theatre by ensuring the supplier representative procedure is adhered to.
- Ensuring effective theatre utilization by effectively allocating theatre time to doctors.
- Minimize overtime hours by updating shift schedules and arranging call lists.
- Providing effective people management by demonstrating visible leadership skill by sponsoring initiatives and projects and ensuring change is support.
- Develop a resourcing plan with the nursing team to ensure quality staff are recruited.
- Provide direction and inspire positive work behaviour in theatre.
- Develop learning opportunities for staff in order to ensure all staff members have a complete and relevant IDP in line with career aspirations and succession planning practices.
- Manage performance and productivity by conducting JPM's and rewarding top performers.
- Ensure transactional processing in relation to employee compensation and benefits is complete.
- Ensure productive working relationships are supported by sound employee relations and compliance the in respect of policies.
- Manage employee wellness by implements strategies that ensures a fair work-life balance.
- Establishing effective doctor relationships by taking not of doctors requirements and addressing doctors's requested timeously.
- Producing effective quality systems managements by -
- Ensuring continuous improvements in patient safety.
- Ensuring compliance to ISO measurements by the identification and closure of non-conformances.
- Conducting operations, clinical and risk managements by participating in consultative forum and managements meetings.
- Providing input in the budgeting and Capex meetings.
Candidate Requirements
- Effective clinical leadership.
- Must be Theatre Qualified - (non-negotiable).
- A Post-Basic Theatre Qualification (Diploma).
- 5-8 years relevant Theatre experience in a managerial capacity
- Strong leadership skills, sound communication and inter-personal skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure and assume responsibility for managing personal outputs.
